Like us on Facebook:

The Palm Beach Gator Snow Ski Club is a group of active, fun-loving, sports-minded people who live in sunny South Florida (mainly Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast), but also share a love for winter activities. Our founding fathers adopted the alligator logo because of its association with South Florida. They did not intend to emulate any University or College.

Welcome to our website!

If you are a good skier, or ski like me, you are going to love our club. We have all levels of skiers, guaranteeing you to ski along friends all week long.

Not a skier? It is Ok, you may be a golfer, a biker, or have a new idea to bring to the club. We have an exciting agenda with a variety of fun activities all year long.

Start having fun today! Become a member of our prestigious ski club. The Membership cost  is just  $40 for single and  $60 for the family membership. Thank you!

                                                                                    Nikki Tessler, Membership Director

Membership Picnic was a blast!

More than 150 Gators had a wonderful time at Carlin Park Beach Pavilion yesterday, a bright sunny day, warm but with a refreshing breeze. It was truly a group effort, both the current and incoming Board Members, along with many volunteers, doing the setting up, cooking, serving and cleaning up. Special thanks for Betty Williams, Randy C for doing the lion's share of organizing, and to Debbi Boyer-Haselmire, incoming VP of Special Activities, for being the master cook of the of the hamburgers and hot dogs. Also special thanks to Ben Smith for bringing and grilling the delicious pretzels. Photos courtesy of Lee Chitty.

2015-2016 Ski Season Preview!

Our 2015-2016 ski season is taking shape! Click here to review and start planning!

We will be nominating within the next few weeks, the Trip Leaders and Assistant Trip Leaders for the 2015-2016 ski season. We have already 4 trips on the works, with as many as 4 or 5 more to be added. Trip Leaders have many responsibilities: help sell the trip, manage the accounting, set up parties on the mountain, problem-solve at all times. The Trip Leader puts the interests of the group always first, and is the captain, caretaker and cheerleader for the trip. For all this, you earn a FREE TRIP* and an invaluable leadership training opportunity. Here are the trips:

Breckenridge, CO: Jan 9-16, 2016

Canyons- Park City, UT : Jan 16-23, 2016

Whistler, BC (Canada) - FSC Trip: Jan 23- 30, 2016

Mt Bachelor, OR - FSC Trip: Feb 20- 27, 2016

We need Trip Leaders and Assistant Trip Leaders for these wonderful trips. For Trip Leader, you qualify if you have been an Assistant Trip Leader or a Trip Leader before (except if you led a trip this last season). The requirement of having been an Assistant may be waived by the Board of Directors if you have other proven leadership qualities. For Assistant Trip leader, you qualify if you have been a member in good standing for at least one year and have participated in at least one trip. Assistant Trip Leaders get 1/2 of a FREE TRIP*

For both positions, it is a must that you own a computer and that you are able to use e-mail (including sending attachments), and can work with Excel spreadsheets in order to manage the trip accounting.

Empathy, responsibility, energy, caring are the qualities of a successful trip leader.

Please contact our VP of Ski, Walter Marussich, at your very earliest convenience:

*Some trips require that a certain number of spots be sold in order for the Trip Leader to obtain a complimentary trip.

Notice of Intent to appoint

The Membership Director, Event Comptroller Director, and Communications Director, are Appointed Director positions. Candidates must have been members in good standing for two years. Appointed Directors have a vote on most motions in front of the Board of Directors, and receive a credit of $500 towards any Club trip.

Candidates interested in any of these positions please apply! To those that have already applied, I thank you sincerely, and rest assured that your candidacy will be given a fair consideration, at the time of appointment. Congratulations Lacie Greenwald!

This just in from Bret Greenwald:
 "Hello Gators,
It has been a great season for Lacie.
Last week she won the National Championships in U14 Platinum.

Her sponsor "Shipskis" today posted on there face book page. If you could all "like" Lacie's pic on Shipskis Facebook page and maybe comment it would be so helpful to me as they assist in many of her needs for equipment and shipping. We are back next week so see all of you at the next meeting. Hope everyone is GREAT
