Duties and Responsibilities as per our Bylaws:

 

The Vice President/Ski Trips is responsible for coordinating all club ski trips, and also providing guidance, assistance and training to all trip leaders and trip leader assistants. The Vice President/ Ski Trips is responsible for all travel arrangements and makes recommendations for Trip Leaders, Assistant Trip Leaders, ski trip locations, time of trip, travel agents, budgets, and contracts to be approved by a majority vote of the Executive Committee and Member at Large. The Vice President/Ski Trips is responsible for the scheduling, planning, promotion, budgeting and execution of all ski activities and events sponsored by the Club.

 

 


 

 

  • ***IMPORTANT STATEMENT ABOUT COVID AND CLUB TRAVEL:

    Dear Club Travelers,

    By now you are aware that the COVID pandemic is not going away as soon as we had hoped. Variants of the original virus are ever more abundant and spreading. With that being said, please remember that when we choose to travel abroad, we are subject to many uncertainties. Most countries are now requiring proof of vaccination for all travelers, no exceptions. If you are unvaccinated and have personal or medical reasons that prevents you from being vaccinated, please do not sign up for an international trip with the Club. New travel restrictions appear, change or disappear every week. The Gator Snow Ski club cannot not be responsible if you choose to cancel from a trip rather than “get the jab.” We will treat cancellations due to vaccine related choices as a regular cancellation and subject to cancellation fees. Please understand that this is not a political statement or advocacy for  vaccinations. It is just a matter of simple economics for our club. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

  • Ski Trips Update

    Greetings Gators!

    Can you believe the summer is almost over and we’re just about 4 months away from our 1st ski trip of the 2022 ski season? Hard to imagine in this Florida HEAT. Speaking of HEAT, or trips are selling like HOT CAKES, so if you want to join us on a trip in 2022, you better sign up now. We just added Whitefish “Big Mountain” Montana to our offerings. Please be sure to check out the website and trip flyer for more information. We currently are in search of a trip leader - contact me if you’re interested.

    2022 Trips Update:

    1. Vail – 1/8/2022 to 1/15/2022 -Trip Leader is Karen Eslary.

    We still have space available for this “Club Favorite” destination.

    1. FSC Heavenly/Tahoe – 1/22/2022 to 1/29/2022 – Trip Leader is Larry Grayhills.

    This trip is sold out. We are taking names for the waitlist.

    1.  Winter Park – 2/4/2022 to 2/11/2022 – Trip Leader is Karen Monz.

    1. Telluride – January 21-28, 2023
    2. Mammoth – February 11-18, 2023
    3. Snowmass – February 25 to March 4, 2023
    4. Big Sky – March 18 to 25, 2023
    5. More trips for 2023 are in the works…stay tuned!
