Rainbow River Tubing / Aqua Weekend
August 7 - 9, 2020 (Friday - Sunday)
Join the Gators for a delightful weekend trip with tubing down the Rainbow River.
Gator activity fee: $20 per person.
Important notes for those signed up:
- Unplanned on-site arrival at 7:45 AM is too late – you will not get a tube. People start queuing in line at 6:30 AM.
- Reserve and Pay for tubes in advance – Call Laura 352-671-8560
- Fee to enter the park is $20 - the park office will also reserve the tubes for you.
- Fee for tube rental fee is $25 payable at the tube locations.
- You can also reserve kayaks or canoes.
- Event Leader Sharon Pryel – will try to get there early but don’t count on her as she may run into infinite loops herself.
- The park office is open until 5:00 PM.
- Recommend carpooling – can have any number of passengers that will safely fit in a car.
- If you have not paid your activity fee of $20 – Sharon Pryel will collect on site – See you at happy hour on Saturday.

Room reservation and transportation are on your own. It is a short drive from the motel to KP Hole Park for the tubing.
We will be meeting at KP Hole Park at Tube Reservations at 7:45 AM on Saturday morning. Tubes will be reserved under "Gators". Those who want to carpool and or caravan to KP Hole Park should make their own arrangements.

KP Hole Park Summer hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (April 1 - Sept. 30)
Please be advised that only tubes which measure 60 inches across or less will be allowed to launch from KP Hole Park.
Rainbow River Tubing Excursion Facts:
- The tubing run takes around 4 hours and is 3.3 miles long.
- The Rainbow River is 5.7 miles long.
- The water temperature is 72 degrees.
- Most of the natural river bed is between 8 to 15 feet deep.
- The current speed is 1.5 knots (1.7 miles per hour).
Rainbow River Tubing Rules:
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park or on the river.
- No disposable containers are allowed in the park or on the river.
- The park closes to visitors entering at 1:45 PM.
- Tube renters must be at least 18 years old and show proof of ID.
- The last tube rental is at 12:45 PM and must be in the water by 2:00 PM.
- The last shuttle back to the park from the tube drop off leaves at 6:00 PM.

Gator Den Motel Policies:
- Check-in times: 3:00pm - 10pm - Check out time: 10:00 AM (Charges may apply for later checkouts)
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may take place prior to the 7-day window before the originally scheduled arrival date. Reservations canceled within the 7-day window of the original arrival date are 100% nonrefundable.
- No-shows acts as nonrefundable cancellation and are subject to 100% of the reservation amount. Payment will be charged on the originally scheduled check-in date for no-shows.
