Why visit a Parador?

Paradores are a network of luxury hotels in Spain and Portugal that are owned and operated by the state. They are located in historic buildings like castles, monasteries, and palaces, or in modern buildings in scenic areas. 

The name comes from the Spanish word parar, which means "to stop, halt, or stay". The hotels are used to preserve historic buildings while also providing tourism revenue to help regions with fewer resources.

Itinerary:

Day 1 –  Arrival & tapas night

Private coach transfer from Madrid airport to hotel in Madrid.

Tasting of typical Spanish tapas in local bars, 1 glass of wine per person included.

Day 2 – Madrid walking tour and transfer to Toledo:

Private coach included for Madrid tour and transfer to Toledo.

3-hour English speaking licensed guide for Madrid.

Admission to the Palacio Real.

Day 3 – Toledo walking tour & lunch:

Half Day Private coach included for Toledo.

2-hour English speaking licensed guide for Toledo.

2 course lunch at a typical restaurant in Toledo, drinks are extra. 

Day 4 – Transfer from Toledo to Caceres, cheese visit with tasting & tour:

Private coach included from Toledo to Caceres and tour.

Visit to a local cheese producer, with description of cheese making process and final tasting (10 varieties of cheese + water/wine).

2-hour English speaking licensed guide for Caceres.

Day 5 – Transfer from Caceres to Zafra with stop in Merida:

Day 6 –  Visit to the local market with tasting:

Visit to the Mercado de Abastos in Zafra with tasting of some typical product.

Day 7 – Transfer from Zafra to Sevilla, walking tour, Guadalquivir River Cruise and Sevillanas baile.

River cruise on Guadalquivir River in Sevilla (about 1h).

Sevillanas class and then a tablao (flamenco show). At the end you can dance Sevillanas with live music. 

Day 8 –Excursion to Cadiz and Jerez de la Frontera with Sherry tasting;

Day 9 – Transfer from Sevilla to Ronda:
